1. Don't Use Paper Towels to Clean or Dust the Surface

One of the most surprising tips for owners of bullet-resistant glass is to avoid using paper towels when you clean or dust your barrier. In fact, paper towels should never come close to your glass barrier as they can cause scratches and other damage. A soft cloth or chamois is the right tool for the job. Natural sponges are another good choice.

2. Choose Solvents Wisely

There are a number of corrosive solvents that shouldn't be used to clean your barrier. Don't use any cleaners that have an aroma since those chemicals can degrade your glass barrier. Mild detergents and soaps mixed with warm water are the best bet. After any cleaning, be sure that the surface is fully rinsed to keep soap scum from forming. As counter-intuitive as it might seem, you'll also want to avoid any type of glass cleaner or household cleaner that contains bleach or abrasive chemicals. 3. Replace Barriers as Needed
